This is a collection of 22 high quality, early XRPL mints of some of the best visuals made by homo sapiens.
As all NFTs on the XRPL, they are addresses on the IPFS, where the NFT's metadata and the actual digital image are stored. You can inspect it by clicking on your chosen piece. If you are interested in what these things (NFTs) precisely are, please see the "Education" section.
The images are available directly on chain or through the popular XRPL trading platform, xrp.cafe. Buyout prices are subject to fluctuation and have been set at 0.05% of the estimated value of the original painting. All listed NFTS are free to be displayed and redistributed due to being in the public domain.
Warning: Due to high resolution, the pieces "Lady with and Ermine", "The Starry Night" and "The Tower of Babel" exceed 100 MBs and as a result, cannot be viewed with a browser. The pieces are available through IPFS Gateways.
Because these are firsts. Much like the value some things hold when they are the firsts of their kind, such as stamps, books, cars, coins and other collectibles. These NFTs are amongst the firsts when it comes to the XRP Ledger, arguably one of the world's best blockchains.
NFTs also have an added bonus that its easy to verify their properties like the mint date (think of it as “manufacture date”) and the issuer, as one just have to look the item up on the blockchain, rather than hire an expert.
In the case of the Sapiens Collection, the mint date is January 2023.
